I had to put down my sweet innocent baby Mew yesterday morning. She was only 9 years old. It was very unexpected and devastating. If I wasn't such a piece of shit I would have noticed something serious was wrong and gotten her to a vet months ago. But instead I kept making excuses and told myself I would get my house cleaned up soon and that would fix her breathing issue. Well that never happened and now she's dead. Now I get to come home to an empty house full of little reminders of how sweet she was. Now no matter how sober I get, or how much I get my life on track, or how healthy I get my mind and body I will never get to see her again. It's too late. She left when I was at my lowest.

I "planned" on being sober for 2018 even before I rushed to the vet 3am Saturday night

I went to the store and bought a couple bottles of wine. Just one more night to catch a buzz, help forget, you know? Nothing wrong with that. Well I poured a big glass, smelled it, then I poured it all down the drain. God I wish I still had it. But I'm not living like this anymore
