What my family always called "meatloaf" is nothing like whatever meatloafs I've ever seen online. I've never had baked meatloaf, nor met anybody who had a similar recipe to us, yet my entire family cooks it the same way. It's more like a kind of meat christmas pudding

>minced beef, generally quite lean
>bacon (usyually home smoked bacon which is more likea mix between proscuttio and salt pork, extremely smoky flavour
>a lot of garlic
>pepper, salt in generally unneeded due to the salt in the bacon
>shredded bread
>worcestershire sauce

pack it into a pudding basin, seal the top and steam in pot of water with the water riding 1/3 up the base of the pudding basin. It's delicous and excellent cold in sandwiches. I have no idea if anybody else on the planet eats this, but curious.
