You see a runaway trolley moving toward 15 tied-up (or otherwise incapacitated) antelope on the tracks. You are standing next to a lever that controls a switch. If you pull the lever, the trolley will be redirected onto a side track and the animals on the main track will be saved. However, there is a single lion lying on the side track. You have two choices:

>Do nothing and allow the trolley to kill the 15 antelope on the main track. The Lion will then proceed to feed on the carcasses for a year.
>Pull the lever, diverting the trolley onto the side track where it will kill the lion, saving not only the 15 antelope but also any future kills of the lion.

Does the right of a single lion to survive outweigh the rights of the hundreds of antelope?
