I've had cheese flavored ice cream in Hokkaido. The version I had, at least, was basically sweet with a very mild cheese flavor at the finish. Milk was better, but cheese wasn't bad.

Another milk ice cream, but this time with maple syrup. Maple syrup isn't super common in Japan, especially as an ice cream topping, so I had to try it.

Here's another milk, but this one has maple syrup.

I went to a shop last week that had gold as a topping. It doubled the price of the ice cream.
Instead of that, I got maple syrup. It was delicious.
