I spent a month traveling around Spain and I was surprised at how great the food was. Rarely ever hear anybody mention Spanish food but damn, it was fucking good. I would love to head to an old bar/tavern in Southern Spain and have some fried sardines, a glass of sherry and some olives right now. Or alternatively I could be in the Basque country eating pinxtos and drinking wine with some friends.

Also salmorejo is one of the best fucking cold soups there is. Spanish wine and cheese are underrated and good jamon is just as good as prosciutto. Seafood in the southand the basque is super high quality. The olive oil is abundant and high quality. And though tapas are a bit of a meme, they were actually great too.

Since then a Spanish restaurant opened in my city and it is regulalrly one of highest rated and most popular. Spanish food is good.
