I went to a bakery-type mexican food place and they had a whole espresso setup and I asked for a red-eye off their menu and they were totally confused as to how to use the machines almost as if nobody had ever asked for coffee before.
It was surreal, the register girl would ask me to hold on, then go to the back, then attempted to read some LOOONG hand-written instructions off a napkin kept under the counter, then started pouring ice even though I asked for hot espresso, then she started trying to get some other employee who was 2s away from ending her shift to do it, it was just 3 minutes of this shit, I just walked away.
