Not him but I've worked with both nasal tubes and PEG a lot and I'd expect something like this to clog fucking constantly.
The one in the OP does look thicker than a PEG, but still.
Unless you're on a liquid diet this will be a major hassle to work with. And if you have the willpower to limit yourself to liquids you don't need surgery to lose weight anyway.

Used to work with rehabilitating stroke patients. Spent one Christmas evening at work there and of course the patients who could eat got some nice food that day. I think it was duck.
Anyway, those who didn't have contraindications were also offered a glass of wine and one man who could only take in food and drink through a feeding tube in his stomach wall asked me to put a glass of wine in it. He wanted the buzz but he also wanted to be able to taste it when he burped. I obliged of course.
I guess you take whichever pleasures you can when you're in that situation. I'd have let him swish it around his mouth too if he had been capable of course. I can't image going on with life if I could no longer eat and drink at all. Poor bastard.
