No, I had the Kuro Diamond, the actually good version of it. Didn't even turn your shit green, either.

They fucked up and didn't use proper blackening ingredients like the kuro pearl and kuro diamond, which had squid ink and bamboo charcoal instead of weird shit food coloring. It was delicious, and a precious memory of my early days in Japan.

When I was new to living in Japan, I went to macdos with some foreigner friends. This huge Maori dude ordered two sandwiches for himself, and it was like the staff didn't know what to do, like that had never happened before.
Instead of having him wait for his order by the register, they asked to him sit down and delivered it to him because it took longer to make.

It tasted fine, but really it's about nostalgia. I had moved to Japan only two months prior, so everything still felt new. My mother would still be alive for another month or so.
It was kind of a prefect moment in time.

They should do the kuro diamond outside of Japan. It was tangy and delicious.

Kuro diamond from Burger King. Pretty good, kind of had tangyness I attributed to the squid ink but honestly I'm not sure.
