Your totally right, I raise a family on a food budget of 300 dollar a month. And we eat healthy and often have luxery food items.

I'm sure I'm even able to stretch it further if needed to.

I think that people complain about food prices because
- they are into food fads muh advocado
- want to have everything organic
- find cheap food (potatoes, chicken ) boring
- cannot cook from scratch
