Rather than banning items, deals, coupons, portion sizes, etc. implement a fat tax like in Japan. If you're overweight, you pay more in taxes because your poor health puts more burden on taxpayers. If you're healthy, you pay less. Just like tobacco products have a sin tax, so too should sugary products to discourage people from buying them.
