I don’t like this idea. If we have some ‘rules’ sticky (which will be arbitrary at best ‘rules’ decided by one person and a mod), it’ll restrict the board in the long run. It’s cooking mainly but we can still enjoy tangentially cooking-related content or the occasional OC where some idiot’s ‘cooking’ cereal and dog food or whatever. It’s still 4chan. I want to have fun; not feel like it’s some serious cooking forum or whatever.

also i hate to say this because im tired of hearing it, but marco pierre white is absolutey right lots of times when he says "there's no real recipe", in that you can add or remove things as you like depending on your tastes, especially if you know what sort of flavor they are trying to bring to whatever it is that youre making. even if not, youre usually pretty safe to omit non-staple ingredients, even if the recipe calls for them (ie. if you make cream of mushroom soup, dont omit the mushrooms. stuff like that; use common sense) i usually always try to incorporate leeks whenever i can because i fucking love leeks. heres a fantastic soup that i still make sometimes to this day. i really like soup though so i might be a bit biased

i was like 30% sure this was on the ck booru cause i have it but i guess not cause i cant find it, but i have made this before and its quite delicious. i just added the bacon and some cheese but it was delicious both with and without
pretty hard to go wrong with potato + leek + cream + butter base

Incredibly easy and doesn't take any effort or time unless you're making stocks from scratch.

All you really need is//
>Good stew beef or a spiced meat such as chorizo or andouille sausage
>Good chicken stock

From then on you can throw whatever the fuck vegetables you want in there.

Season to taste.

Add cream for richness.
