With the exception of certain anti-biotics, and some poorly executed retort pouches, 2 years isn't going to make much difference.
They have a vested interest as one of the largest mass buyers of both.

Ciprofloxacin was the Antibiotic I believe--the ONLY one that didn't just become ~5% less effective, but TOXIC instead.
there are plenty of sealed cans of food from 1960s out there, that as long as the seal is good,(no rust or dents,) the worst that can habben is mushy paste that will STILL provide calories, even if the micro nutrients are shot.

I used to make my own coffee liqueur and impress dates with a dessert made from homemade poundcake, all natural vanilla bean ice cream,(back when Breyers wasn't shit,) the coffee liqueur and homemade hot dark chocolate,(77%),ganache, topped with whipped cream.
I swear to you, it got me laid every time I made it.
