Ok so I have a dumb question when making chicken and rice, kind of like pic related. I first fry some onions, garlic and a whole pack of chicken thighs in the pot for 2 minutes then after that I pour a whole kettle of boiling water into the pan until all the chicken is submerged. I then turn the heat to low and simmer it for half an hour. Should I return the pot to the boil before turning the heat down and starting the half hour timer?
