I'm not going to lie- you were more entertaining when you were posting your trainwrecks without context, if that makes sense. It added a sense of passing mystery that thrives on this medium, e.g. in the case of that french guy who lives in a barn.
That said, you can probably get broader appeal operating the way you do now and on different mediums, and there is nothing wrong with that given that the more popular you get the more people on 4chinz will hate you regardless of what you do.
