Sup /ck/,

What gives marzipan that intense almond flavor? Is it the type of almond? The way it is grown and harvested? The processing done to it? Or do they just add a shitload of artificial almond flavor to some mashed-up almond paste?

Has anyone tried or made Soylent? It's basically a meal-replacement shake that is formulated specifically so you can live off it exclusively. I've tried meal replacement bars and drinks in the past, and they all taste bad, give you headaches from the amount of sugar in them, and do a poor job of satisfying hunger.

I enjoy food and cooking, but there are plenty of times I would love to have an effective meal replacement instead of having to prepare and eat a mediocre meal.
