By the gods, it is nigh impossible to listen to this soy wojak try to talk about cooking. I don't think he's ever had even a decent risotto, and yet he talks about how you don't have to do it the traditional way, and he ends up with some sloppy rice gruel that he pretends is risotto. And that's merely one thing, his videos feel like I'm watching a fucking commercial at least a third of the time, because not only does he have actual commercials that he does (therefore adblock doesn't stop it) he constantly talks about the ingredients he's obviously paid to shill incessantly.
Chef John hasn't really put out much material as of late and so I wanted to give fagusea a chance, ut 3 videos and he's just awful. Not as bad as weissman but still awful.

Why do so many people on this board seem to hate Adam Ragusea and his content? It seems like /ck/ has a mighty hate-boner for this guy. I've watched a lot of his videos, and they really don't seem all that bad! I get that he may sometimes (especially in his older videos, rofl) come off a little bit pretentious as he has a unique sense of humour, but this issue is way over blown IMHO. Also, he's changed a lot over the years! I encourage everyone who's given up on the guy to give him another chance, my favourites from his newer videos include his Pancake 101 video (extremely informative) and his ice cream tutorials. His food history videos are quite fun too.
