I'm a bartender at an Irish Pub in Germany. To me, tipping definitely is not an obligation since I get paid relatively well (8€/h). However, if you're a regular at a place, I would still recommend you to tip the bartender and just be a nice guy, as in show basic manners.

Little things like saying please and thanks, looking into the other person's eyes when you talk to them, no snipping fingers or whistling. Sure, you would still get served if you did all these things, but when the bar gets super busy, you will more than likely be the last one being served.

Germanfag here. I was thinking about giving Schöfferhofer a "lol faggot piss beer" but then I noticed I never actually tasted it. Ive always been tied to drink Bavarian brews so I stuck to local stuff (Eichhofener, Spital, Weltenburger) or semi-big breweries (Franziskaner, Augustiner, even Tegernseeer).

Come to think of it: I haven't tried Krombacher, Veltins, König Pilsener, etc. either. Basically any brand that affords to have tv ads. Did I miss anything?

Used to work as a bartender in Germany for four years. I got 8€/h without tips. I would say it's common to either round up or give 10% tips in Germany but it's definitely not social pressure, more convenience I guess. I'd give people the same good service every night without the American sugar coating. People don't appreciate talkative bartenders anyway. They expect you to listen to their everyday problems but never to start conversations.

Anyway: The tipping behavior of customers every night determined the order in which I served people. It was a pretty busy place and Id always have three orders or something on my mind. So I'd serve tipping regulars first, then tipping casuals, and then casuals. Not that it really made a difference though, people still got their orders within minutes. Except on exceptional nights like Paddys Day it might have made a difference of a couple of minutes.

This has got to be the easiest thing ever and you being the huge faggot that you are, think that you need to ask a cooking board. There's three ingredients and one work step to this. Figure it out yourself you waste of life.

So crisp that it makes a such a loud cracking sound when you bite a piece off that everybody near you turns his head and thinks "dat nigga healthy".

So sour that it makes your face go all Gordon Ramsay wrinkly.

I can confirm this. The original Vienna Schnitzel uses veal, the Bavarian version (that I grew up on) uses pork.

Step up plebeian. Weihenstephaner is a good choice though. Very reliable, like Franziskaner in my opinion. My personal choice is Schneider Weiße though.
