It's pretty awful but the alternative to not treating is to suffer untreated Crohn's which, well, is worse than not treating it. People DO go into long periods of remission thanks to treatments, and hopefully as research progresses it'll get better. That said, it's a shitty disease. (lol, get it? poop!)

You can say "the veggie patty tasted like a crayon, and had the consistency of one too" I would go so far as to say consistency is more related to touch rather than taste, but it can affect how something tastes if you want to get really pedantic about it.
