This stuff is 10% abv and actually tastes decent. I don't know who common it is in the rest of the country, it's been a year since they released it and it's already not common in the San Francisco Bay area. The problem is it's $4.5-6 a bottle depending on where you buy it. I think it's worth it when I want a 40 but I'm not poor.

I used to drink malt all of the time in my early 20s but over the past few years I've been drinking strong craft beers. E40 is actually really good but now that the hype of the release has died down there is just one liqour store in a shady part of town I know of that sells the 40s. It's 10% abv and tastes better than all the other malts but it's $5.50 for one bottle. It's twice as strong as mickys, cheaper than 2 40s of mickys, and better tasting than mickys so I think it's worth it when I want a 40. I've been mostly drinking 4loko gold and vodka mixed with poweraid recently though.
