what are some of your worst cooking fuckups /ck/

mine is what i did earlier

i read a recipe for peanutbutter cookies that said all i needed was 1 cup sugar, 1 cup peanutbutter and 1 egg

i mixed the sugar and peanutbutter together but in my stupidity i forgot to check to see if i had any eggs (i didn't)

so i scoured the internet for an egg substitute and i found one which was comprised of baking powder (didnt have that either), water, and vegetable oil.

mixed together some cream of tartar and some baking soda to substitute the baking powder.

i combined that with the oil and water and then mixed that together to make cookie dough. it had a pretty good consistency

so i threw some of the dough into the oven and to my horror when i poked at them with a toothpick....it crumbled into dust. i poked them all and they all fucking crumbled into dust

i was so disappointed and threw away the batter and peanutbutter dust
