Yeah see this is the typical MBA retard trap. They have tons of data about surge pricing from ride-sharing apps, but ride-sharing is a fundamentally different business because surge pricing happens when most people HAVE to take an Uber - whether they want to go out for drinks on Friday night or have to catch a flight, there is no alternative. There's a billion and one alternatives to eating a fucking Wendy's hamburger. Any "data" they have was cherry-picked and massaged to fit some dipshit exec with a 90 IQ's "vision" for how he can get a fat bonus. I have seen this happen time and time again in my career, because I'm the guy that gets the data. I'm the guy that compiles the data and tells the higher ups that the data doesn't match their plan for X and Y reasons, which they completely ignore, every single time, because the people running companies these days are all fucking retarded, and the system only rewards but never punishes them for being fucking retarded.
