Thanks you guys, I'll look into the Aeropress and Baratza Encore. I have a somewhat decent budget, probably about $400 or so. I think I've been through a new drip coffee pot every 8 months or so for the past 5 years so if I had just gotten a good setup when I moved out I'd have probably saved money in the long run. I'll also look around for a local roaster, I bet that will take it to a whole 'nother level just by itself.
