I'm gonna linger on this point once again because i think it needs to be heard. We use all the basic spices you can find in online indian curry recipes (turmeric, chili, cardamom, cumin, garlic, ginger, clove, coriander, mustard seed, etc) But the two ingredients that are less commonly stated that you NEED for that "restaurant" indian taste are: fenugreek and asafoetida. do NOT ever forget these two things.
