I make a big ass pot of vaguely asian soup with Saifun (Bean Threads), random veggies, and chicken hearts. It's pretty cheap.
>Better than Bouillon chicken or Vegetable, about 3 bucks and will make tons of soup
>A few bell peppers, one buck
>Bottle of lime juice, 1 buck
>One bunch of Cilantro, 50 cents
>Fish Sauce, 5 bucks will buy a big enough bottle of Red Boat to last years
>Chicken hearts, 1 buck a pound
>Saifun, 80 cents for enough to make like 5 batches of the soup
>Garlic in a bottle, 2 bucks and will last long enough for multiple batches
>Mushrooms, I can get like 2 pounds for 2 bucks at a local place
>Carrots already shredded, one pound for 1 buck
>Soi sauce, you already fucking have soi sauce c'mon
Soak the dry Saifun in cold water until pliable. Sear the hearts until brown on all sides, slice the veggies while doing this. Sautee your garlic, Pour in water once the hearts are done browning and the garlic is done, add in Bouillion and mushrooms, add in whatever veggies you want according to the texture you want for them, add Fish Sauce to taste, add in Soi Sauce. Put it Saifun at the last minute or two, trust me you don't want to overcook the saifun. Garnish with Cilantro and some lime juice.
