>for some reason put my hand up to it like it's a faucet without thinking
>pour scalding water all over my fingers and drop the empty cup dramatically
>later, putting that hand into the warm dishpit water fucking hurts
>prepare small bowl full of ice water in a corner of the sink to stick my hand in for relief
>awkwardly mention to person in kitchen closing staff that this has happened and i would prefer to have priority for tasls that involve putting my hands in cold things
>tell manager, manager freaks out and scrambles to find a solution but essentially tells me to do what i had already been doing to treat it
>apply aloe vera lotion when i get home and it's fine after a day or two

if the fish comes in a sauce, i.e tomato sauce, ill eat them straight from the can. for kippers ill make a sandwhich of just the fillets and a little smear of spicy mustard on good bread, or ill fry up the fish and serve with poached eggs on toast, mackerel, you can make a salad with mayo and celery and red onion and whatever.

im going to be making a breakfast for me and my parents of the following;
>scrambled eggs* atop toasted sourdough
>croissant
all on one plate
on another plate;
>two slices of brie cheese topped with a thin slice of strawberry, lightly drizzled with honey

all served with fresh brewed coffee

*im going to melt some butter on low heat, add eggs, and stir until cooked to my liking, about the consistency of apple sauce
