My grandpa was friends with this German couple who he met during the war. They used to come and visit us in the states, we took them to a bbq place and Hans asked us if they ever bbq horse. He was sort of confused when we told him that nobody here really eats horse that we know of. Apparently Germans have a dish similar to roast beef except its almost always horse in place of the beef. Idk we have always owned horses and it seems like horses have always had a more useful purpose as opposed to becoming food. Nowadays with the advent of quads they are pretty much obsolete in ranching. I still can't see myself wanting to eat a horse. Id try it once though just to see how it tastes.
