I tried to go plant based/vegan for guts of a year

Pros
>Get more fruit and vegetables into your diet
>Better poops
>Cheaper if you don't buy mock meats
>Lower blood pressure
>Feel like you are getting more oxygen to muscles
>If an incel, can blame it on veganism
>Lack of dairy improves issues with sinuses

Cons
>Too much fibre
>Not much variety in rich protein sources e.g. lentils, beans and soy
>Extreme gas and bloating - this is suppose to go away after a few weeks but I had it for months and until I went back to meat
>If you have IBS, you may suffer a lot
>Diet has to be well planned and can run into deficiency issues
>I also suffered some minor hair loss
>Vegan versions of animal products are expensive and taste like ass
>If you wish to supplement protein powder, vegan versions are like drinking dirt with the grit texture as well
>The vocal minority of vegans are insufferable and will try to relate all aspects of life to veganism e.g. condoms are not vegan. They are generally only a vegan 1-3 years and try to call out other vegans as not being vegan
>Constantly have to check every ingredient in food products as manufacturers will hide animal products under different names

The high fibre and beans on this diet made he suffer for months. I tried digestive enzymes and slowly introducing but nothing worked. If I didn't have these issues I probably would stay plant based
