1) Buy less and go to the supermarket more often.
2) See above, cook large quantities of soups, stews etc and freeze them.
3) You're always going to get some wastage, sometimes you don't get to eat what you feel like and eat what looks like it will go bad soon.
4) Most types of veges can be roasted easily.

>Americans certainly did not invent the concept of having multiple courses

He has a point.

Ultimately though, I believe there should be a global "fat tax" and government subsidies on healthy food.

Yep, I eat healthy.

Lots of veges, no sugar, nothing fried, not too many carbs... still some though, a little bread, few potatoes...

I might eat some thing junky like fast food once a fortnight though.

The thing that stops me being thinner is the booze.

Averaging almost a bottle of wine a night atm.

I've always wondered this yet never came to this conclusion. Nice one anon.

It's cool to eat refrigerated food. Makes sense.

Yes it is becoming more and more popular for a few reasons.

1) There are more and more vegetarian or vegan alternatives in stores and restaurants
2) The negative impact of the animal industry becomes more and more apparent
3) People start thinking about the consequences of their actions

Some people may be preachy about it, but it's mostly a thing with those who just changed their diet. It helps them adjust, thinking that they are doing the right thing.

It's funny how the people most concerned about what's vegan and what a "real vegan" eats are always onmivores.

No one else cares. Just let people eat what they want and be done with it.
