What are you actually smoking? Depending on the cut I can get chicken for 1 USD/lb or less pork for 3 or less and beef steaks 6 or less. You just gotta buy stuff when it goes on sale and cook it that day. I check out the meat department almost everyday to check out what's priced to move. Only a goy pays full price for a NY strip. At christmas time they ran a special on racks of prime rib for $5 per lb and I bought a whole rack and dry aged it in a mini fridge.
