After this experience, I need a second opinion. Was this guy crazy?

I payed him the money, and was even gracious enough to not make him give me the fifty-something cents for my change, which is practically already a tip. So when I got ready to close the door, the guy said "Where's my tip?"

I kindly told him I don't give tips. At this point he was practically panhandling, so I closed the door on him. He started banging on the door. I kept telling him that he wasn't going to get a tip. He started KICKING my door, and I yelled at him to leave. I told him that he didn't deserve a tip because he wasn't even doing any good service, you don't tip the people at McDonalds, do you?

This nutjob freaked out, picked up a rock from my garden and hurled it through my window. I quickly called the police and after about five more minutes of the guy ranting and hollering in front of my house, he was eventually arrested.

Was he just insane, or did I possibly do something wrong?
Was this guy just crazy or could I have done something wrong?
