It depends upon where you are. If you're in the USA, there is a very steep ROI on any bourbon more than $50USD.

So, if you're in the USA, I recommend a bottle of the stuff in my pic. Anywhere else, just get something with the highest proof (ABV) you can afford.

If you're in the US, $70 should get you any Bourbon that more than 100 proof.

I recommend the Bourbon in my pic, Old Forester 1920 Prohibition style. It cost me around $55. Or two bottles of ODG114. That costs me $26 and is almost as good as the OF1920.

Keep watching the prices. While working on finishing another bottle of whiskey, I was watching the price of pic related when I noticed the price of it too recently went up around $10USD. Even so, I decided to still buy it around a week later and by then the price had fell $2USD from the week before.

Of course this might still be explained by my local store putting certain items on sale...

Do yourself a favor and try this (pic). You will save a whole lot of money.

Just picked up a bottle of this tonight for the first time. It's .05% more abv than OGD114, but it's more than twice the price ($26 vs $55).

It IS tastey. But is it twice as good as OGD114? I don't know about that.
