Well, these customers would order very expensive and very smokey whiskey and then ask for ice cause the whiskey's taste was "too strong". Now, most times, the same people would down a whiskey in one gulp without being able to properly taste what they just had. They simply did this because they saw it in some western movie on TV.

Itd be like ordering food but consuming it while pinching your nose. It disguises the food's flavor greatly. Thus, I thought, I had to lecture them. The usual stuff, making smartass remarks like "Do you like water in your shoes? No? Why put it in your whiskey then? Har har" and the likes. But once I stopped caring about how they had their drinks, life got a lot easier. I would still advise them but let them have it their way without having an arrogant attitude. Some people actually drop the ice once I tell them a little about whiskeys.

Btw, I DO know that some people put water in their whiskey to precisely differentiate between all the different layers of flavor but those were definitely a minority. And those people don't ask for ice but for a small cup of water.

tl;dr: OP is a faggot.
