Mostly this. I love beer and really into trying different brews, but an alcohol has to alcohol. I drink beer only for the taste. I drink Crow for the feels of drunken content.

probably because it's what you usually drink, so haven't tried a wide enough variety of whiskey to really appreciate different flavors

If judging by taste alone I'd give Evan a 5/10 and Jack a 6/10. But since Evan is about half the price of Jack, its actually better. I rarely drink either anymore though, Old Crow is where it is. If you know of a better bourbon in the price range then please, do tell. So far its the best I've had for the price.
