Thankfully, it is becoming more and more difficult to buy cutlery without the appropriate checks in place to help prevent criminals from getting them. As a proud britbong I wholeheartedly agree with our governments to decision crack down on knife crime. I'll be turning 21 soon and can't wait to get my cutlery license. Sounds like you live out in the boonies instead of a big city then. It's the same thing in pretty much any country. Having a lot of people crammed together in one big city is a recipe for violence. Cities always have worse crime statistics compared to smaller towns and more rural areas.

OK, so UK has gambling, but lots of stupid restrictions on guns, knives, the most surveillance cameras of any country, etc. etc. No country is perfect but I'd rather give up gambling than the alternative.
