They want you to say it a lot of the time but you don't have to say it everytime. It's just part of the general behavior they ask of you. In my case, I have a hospitality manager so I do it to not only please them but also just because I genuinely enjoy working there for the most part and I like to try to do my best to fulfill what my job asks of me for the most part.
