I'm Italian, and when I see Americans eating pizza, I just cringe.
The other day I was in Rome, the city I live in, in this pub. At the table next to mine sat three Americans. They ordered a pizza with a shit ton of toppings (tomato sauce and cheese plus wurstel, pepperoni, veggies, everything they read on the menu) and when the waiter brought it they asked for ketchup, mustard, and fucking olive oil.
Mind you, even our basic Margherita is pretty juicy by its own, normally.
I saw them drowning every slice with greasy runny condiments.
But it wasn't enough. Oh no.
They asked for grated Parmesan cheese, and put a serious avalanche of it on their pizza.
