it makes for a cripsy bottom so my frozen pizza isn't floppy

Also good for actual homemade pizza with your own fresh dough, but I'm usually too lazy for that.

It still improves frozen pizza if you use a pizza stone, you can preheat your pizza stone nice and hot to like 500F, then throw your frozen pizza on it and turn the oven temp down to whatever temp the pizza normally cooks at (so you don't burn your toppings) and then just keep an eye on it and when the cheese is fully melted and looking your preferred color of golden//brown if you prefer things cooked a bit extra.

Takes a bit longer to preheat, but cooks in ~10-12 minutes instead of 18-22.

End result is a much crisper crust underneath and a less floppy pizza.

pic very much related

I go a step further.

I preheat the oven with the pizzastone in it to 500f, and leave it for ~30-45 minutes.

Then throw the pizza on it and turn it down to whatever temp the pizza should normally be at.

And it usually cooks in ~1/2 the time, so keep a close eye on it.
