My step mom took me to Checker's drive thru and I asked her to get me two double bacon cheeseburgers, along with fries and a drink, with each burger being liek 7-8$ and the total coming around to like 25 for a single person, she was clearly freaked out when I saw her take a look at the bill even though she tried to hide it from me. All she said was "just promise me that when you get inside, you'll run downstairs into your room as fast as you possibly can so your dad doesn't get a chance to ask to see the receipt"
I felt immense embarrassment upon reflection later that night and still to this day, I feel guilt and pain for my inability to stop the aspect of consume. I put my poor step-mom, who was always so kind and angelic to me, in an awkward position. It was so gross and uncool. And that wasn't the first time my autistic gluttony affected a family member.
