My old roomie and I are still good friends but we just weren't meant to live together. It pissed her off when I would mow the yard while tripping on acid or bring home dopewhores, she pissed me off by trying to enforce a "mandatory movie night" and frequently damaging my cookware because she's fucking useless in the kitchen. But here was a particularly bad night
>be me, in bedroom on acid
>comfy, watching walls pulse
>roommate is cooking something while watching a Chef John video
>smell something burning but idgaf
>suddenly she screams
>FUCK
>FUUUUUCK
>FUUUUUUUUUUUCK
>go to investigate, still not really giving a shit
>see that she scorched my pan trying to make caramel
>she also burned her hand pretty bad because she panicked and tried to grab the pan instead of the handle
>she's crying because she knows I'm gonna be upset
>I'm high as fuck so I just calmly tell her she has ruined my night and I wish I had never met her
>go back to room as she screams and curses at me
>we both forget about the pan still being on the heat
>eventually sets off smoke alarm and my trip is further ruined
>we don't speak to one another for more than a week
I'm not sure which of us was more or a nightmare roommate desu.

Zimmern got better over the years IMO. What I remember about him being so unappealing in the early Bizarre Foods episodes was that he bitched about how gross the stuff was all the time. And described anything he ate as """""gamey"""""
He upped his game over the years, even later BF was pretty good
