Keto is grounded in biochemistry. Retards will lie to you. Carbs are not bad. The real issue is the fact that our modern diet is carb based, and carb heavy. Your body loves to burn carbohydrates to produce adenosine triphosphate. Because of this, it tends to store excess fats. When you kick your body into ketosis, it no longer has carbs to burn, and switches to the next most efficient fuel source: fat. Ketosis is a state your body can enter, wherein you are producing ketones, a byproduct of fat breakdown. Keto, combined with fasting can accelerate autophagy, and therefore fat loss.

Keto produces fat loss, while maintaining caloric intake. It's not a "way of life" like many keto cultists say, but merely a method of losing excess fat. Carbohydrates are necessary for your mitochondria to function properly, and form an integral part of a balanced diet.

Tldr, keto and fasting are the best ways to lost fat weight, and work well together. It is not, however; a long term diet plan.
