No veggies but I planted ten raspberry bushes and two service trees.

The key is necessity.
If I'm in a situation and there is absolutely no other way to survive besides killing an animal, necessity and self preservation demands that I do it.

If I'm in a leisured, wealthy, developed western country with absolutely no need to, why would I go out of my way to cause living on a feeling, thinking being with absolutely no need?

The fertiliser, pesticides etc. are unfortunate by products of industrial farming, population etc. etc. It's impossible to live a normal human life totally free of at least one animal getting fucked, I'm not about to spend my life as an itinerant farming peasant. So I'm not happy with, but can understand the necessity of animal products involved in the production of vegetables.

I have this, it works great and takes almost no time at all. I only have 3 of the stones but still, can sharpen my kitchen knife and my pocket knives.

once when i was little we made candy with my grandma 1950s style.

one was chow mein noodles covered in some kind of... butterscotch i think? rolled into clusters.

peanut butter balls covered in powdered sugar.

basic fudge-in-a-pan but with just a tiny bit of some kind of spice, i can't remember... cinnamon and pepper or something.
