I've never gotten food poisoning ever. Not even from taco bell. We have this weird attitude toward raw meat, that ALL MEAT carries foodborne illness and we need to cook the shit out of it or we'll die. In all honesty most meat is just fine, we just buy shit meat from factory farms that has a higher chance of having bugs in it. My grandma told me that when her parents raised pigs she use to eat pork medium rare every time. I'll never know what that tastes like...

the whole "women were kept out of the workplace by men" situation really only lasted from the 1940s till the 1970s. Anything earlier had women happy to stay at home with the kids instead of dying in a steel mill.
