>3 chicken thighs, 3 chicken drumsticks
>3 carrots
>3 celery sticks
>the juice of three lemons
>parsley
>basil
>6 cups chicken stock (the thicker the better)
>add 8 oz of egg noodles
>cook in pressure cooker until done
>carve meat from bones
>eat

this is the optimal foodstuff, convince me otherwise

Probably a stupid question, but I'm a single dad doing his best after the mom decided her FFXIV boyfriend could give her a better life. My daughter wants chicken noodle soup, so I figured why not, can't be too hard, right?

I have whole carrots, celery, two big bags of wide egg noodles, a huge carton of chicken stock, a bundle of parsley, all kinds of seasonings, and about 2.5 lbs of raw chicken breast tenders.

My specific question is what do I do with the chicken? Do I bake it and cut it up and put it in? Do I toss it in a pan and sautee it a bit? I can't just cut it and put chunks in the stock raw and let it cook low and slow all day, can I?

Any tips at all about this would be appreciated, not just what to do with the chicken. Thanks.

Is noodle soup really a thing? I doubt noodles add much flavour, but hey, the kids get food inside.

I'm trying to get better at cookery but I suck at it
Right now my go-to meal is slicing up a chicken breast, browning it in some butter mixed with bouillon, then adding water and salt/pepper to taste and then noodles and simmering.

I've also been doing something similar with a full white onion instead of chicken to make a bootleg french onion soup

Would a neutral oil be a better idea? Maybe add the bouillon later instead of mixing it with the butter? It tastes good but I have no idea what the fuck I'm doing.
