I rarely order a $5 box outside of double chalupa season, but when I do I always sub out the cinnamon twists for chips and guac, and get a soft taco instead of the hard shell. Usually I get the taco al fresco, but I decided to go vanilla tonight, and instead of the half a handful of cold shredded cheddar they usually throw on top I got it melted. This means it was either made fresh, or had been sitting under a heat lamp for an hour. There was virtually no green in the lettuce so I'm not really sure which is the case. Regardless, a few chips with a little of the gauc and a single packet of fire sauce does wonders for Taco Bell's namesake.
