The cantina tacos were the real deal. Chopped chicken or steak, griddled with onions and cilantro only, folded in soft corn tortillas, kept warm by foil, one single wedge of lime per taco.
Gone.
The Chalupa that had the weird mayo-based california style dressing that was a nice zesty lime avocado ranch kind of thing, was yummy with a chicken filling. It wasn't baja sauce, I don't believe.
Gone.
(Maybe they still have them) but truly good, was the Caramel Apple Empanadas, which had a great caramelized crisp shell around the dough, a sort of creme brulee style crunchy cooked glaze to the outside.

I used to get the slurpee alternative for a hot drive in Miami to my college campus for an afternoon class a few times a week. The fresh strawberry topped, fizzy carbonated mango slushie felt like a real fruit, not artificially flavored, tropical drink. It was the best, most refreshing, thing ever. Honestly, the day they discontinued this flavor freeze drink that was the last day I've ever been to Taco Bell. I'm sure it's been more than 10 years now.
