Used to eat this nightly when I was cutting down. Bison, White American, and a roasted Jalapeno. Sometimes would go swiss and grilled onion/mushrooms, but the Mexican American was the one I enjoyed most.

I don't know that a thicker patty makes a "better burger"; a burger should not be judged on patty size alone or any simple parameter like that.
Sometimes I want a big thick burger patty, other times I want a few small in n out style ones stacked up with cheese - when it comes to greatness however, there's more to it than that.

Often times, however, someone who doesn't know how to make a burger will wind up with some thick puffed up patty, but again, that doesn't mean it will be bad per-say.

When I was cutting I got shredded like a god damned work of art eating a burger I'd make on the grill every night. This was my favorite:
1/2 of 80/20 or Bison
A slice of White American Cheese
A roasted Jalapeno
A little mixture of mayo and the black bottle El Yucateco habanero salsa
