Hey, /ck/-

I've struggled with a problem in that I absolutely despise (all forms of) peppers and onions.

How do I continue coping with such shit taste? It seems like every civilization in the world has onions or peppers as a central ingredient in their cuisine. What are some tasty alternatives that I can use in my cooking to add flavor to my bland dishes? I'm okay with garlic, but there has to be more out there.

I'm not saying it's ideal, but the fact that it looks that nice, has electricity, running water, wifi, heat, and these kids are able to pay $50 a day for it is not slumming it. Get some real perspective for how poor some living conditions can be, if you haven't already.
