Cast Iron Pans are a fucking scam, I can't believe I wasted 30 bucks down the drain on this garbage when it could have towards a stainless steel saute pan which is superior in everyway. It doesn't weight like a tumblr landwhale, you can actually clean it without spending 20 minutes, and doesn't require seasoning. You can actually leave food in it overnight without worrying about acidity.

>cast irons are for searing meat retard!!!

>buying a pan just for searing
>implying it's worth cleaning/taking care of a 100 pound pan just to sear meat when you can just use stainless steel like a normal person

Cast Iron fags are pathetic pajeets trying to dump their useless heavy ass bags on idiots so they can upgrade to stainless.

I don't always make pizza, but when I do, I use a cast-iron skillet.

Is cast iron really the best pan, or is some nonstick thing good for things frying eggs and vegetables or steak or whatever?

I remember family having a cast iron but it was NOT non stick. Everything stuck to it and it was a mess (I also think they put it in the dishwasher).

Is a properly seasoned cast iron the best or should I look elsewhere? I'm actively looking for a pan since I have my own place now.

Serious question.
Is there a single reason to use cast iron over stainless steel or carbon steel?

Thick pan with 5 ply is superior in every aspect to cast iron and is trouble free with no problems of reconditioning or rust

>wow anon, you mean you don't wash your cast iron pan with soap? You know it's only a myth right? You can do this now, things have changed.

What do you say to this?
