When I was five, I would pretend I was a Brontosaurus from Jurassic Park and the broccoli was a tree.

Am I the only one who, even as a child, finds broccoli to have a slightly sweet taste? Apparently it’s supposed to taste better, never had that with broccoli.

Depends on the ketchup. Ketchup outside of the US in general tastes more tomato-y than American ketchup. There's one I buy that's made with tomato and red bell pepper pastes and a whole different set of seasonings from any American ketchup I've ever had. It's got less sugar than its US counterpart but is much, much tastier.

It says "spicy!!!" in Polish on the bottle, but keep in mind we're talking about an ethnicity who find bell peppers a tad pungent and are trying to find recipes for this newfangled vegetable that just hit the shelves at Żabka and Biedronka called "brokuł."
