It's honestly a millennial thing. This generation was babied and never taught anything, by parents who earned enough doing menial labor to own a house outright and start a family at 22. Their parents fought 2 world wars and went through the great depression, and made damn sure their kids didn't have to suffer that shit, but then they came out soft on easy street and fucked over the next generation.

Critical thinking should be taught in high school, along with home ec. Unfortunately nobody teaches kids how to cook anymore and they're all learning from clickbait YT garbage - if at all - and critical thinking is only taught at decent college/universities that will put you a couple hundred thousand dollars in debt. I can't tell you how many times I've seen highly intelligent STEM fags walk into a kitchen and be completely flabbergasted by the most basic shit you'd think would be common sense.
